The New Oblong Lake

On the following pages you will see many photos of the
Oblong Lake Project form start to almost complete. It will never be complete, as they are always doing something to improve it.

The State of Illinois hired a contractor to plug two wells that were located in the lake. The first one was in northeast corner and the other one was at the northwest finger of the lake. The wells were drilled down to their bottom depth and the holes were filled with concrete.
